Just thought everyone would like to know i got three of my friends in the back of my mini at the weekend with me and my missus in the front!
I was well impressed! didn't think you could get 5 adults in a mini and still drive it (was only for about half a mile though!!) anybody else managed this many or more in their mini?!?:D

My mini is a little bit old so has no rear seat belts so three in the back is ok if you can get someome tiny to sit behind me as the front seat is nearly touching the back one

Well all i have ever owned (well nearly) for the past 16 years is minis and i have 3 kids. 2 of them are now bigger than me and we still have 3 in the back sometimes and yes i have a middle lap belt:D . The hardest was when we had Mia, 3 kids all the stuff for the baby like buggys clothes and nappies. Sam always had to sit in the back as Mia was in her car seat in the front. And to top it all i still had my stereo in there. Now i can tell you getting the weeks shopping now that was a task. Thing is i soon got an estate and it wasn.t too bad after that:p .

my car doens't have seatbelts in the back (yer i know, not a mini etc etc).
all my friends are wary of getting into the back of my car!

My car, as Mikes, wasn't fitted with belts as its too old. We have fitted two lap belts in the back but I worry when we have all three kids in the back. Luckily the eldest doesn't often want to come with us in the mini, or we try and palm one kid off into someone elses car!

is it easy to fit a 3rd belt or lap belt in the middle in the back ?
I've had 3 people in the back and it scrapped round corners and over bumps :( Probably because its lower then standard.... lol

Had three in the back of loads of minis, but the best for me so far is two in the back with a full roll cage with diagonal, I have never heard women moan so much about their noses on cold metal and "where are the seat belts" Bertie is older than any of them and I feel deserved a little more respect:mad:

Well I have the lap belt but never fitted it as its imposible to get two kids booster pads and a baby car seat in the back of nearly any large family cars let alone a mini - the only car we found that could take 3 kids seats / boosters is the picasso or the berlingo van/mpv that we have (same chasis to the cit picasso)

As far as i know Colm it is easy to fit a middle lap belt in, you need to undo 2 bolts that are situated behind the back seat fit belt and redo bolts back up, it properly isnt that simple but im told it is!

or we try and palm one kid off into someone elses car!
I started one journey with just me in the car and after some 'rough terrain', ended up with the most full car as people off loaded their children into the back of mine!
I had belts in the back of mine for a few months but no one ever wore them, not once. Everything came out when I did some welding on the seat and they never went back.
I've had three in the back of mine quite a few times, especially back form uni when there is five of you and you don't want to tell someone to use the bus. But I believe it is illegal, the V5 says 4 seats and one of my friends in Manchester was told off by an 'officer of the law' for carrying 3 on the back seat.

Once, many years ago, I was only 17, a mate owned one of those tiny fiats...... the REALLY small ones. 6 on the back seat, sitting on each others laps. 2 on the passenger seat and the driver.... so that makes 9!
Never again!

I've had 2 adults, a small child & a dog in the back of my mini before now...does that win anything?
