My poor baby!!

On my way home from work tonight, and some tosser comes shooting around the corner smashing into me throwing my car agross the road and then drives of!
I got out the car after i stopped shaking and this really nice lady comes out her house as she heard the crash and starts fussing all over me,
i looked at the car really calmly, then thought i had better ring Faz and let him know, so when he answers my god did the water works turn on!!
Poor Faz he didnt get i word i said at first just crash,side,car Welbeck road. When he had calmed me down he told me to ring the police, which i did and they asked if i was ok, what car it was and did i get the number plate. I didnt know any of this as it happened so quick driving one minute the next an idiot on my side of the road heading towards me, they told me there was nothing they could do as i didnt have the registration number and to go to the police station within 24 hours to report it properly. This i did this evening and got a crime number to give to me insurance company, thank-god im fully comp is all i can say.
Well im ok i have a sore neck and back but other then that im fine,but my poor car has no arch,and the wing, a panel and door hinge are knackered with a big hole in my door, a massive scrape all the way down the whole car a scuffed wheel and one very pi**ed of owner!!!

typical police lack of interest especially as the car that hit you was likely to be uninsured, stolen or driven by a disqualified or drunk driver youd think they would make some effort... :mad:

have you checked to see if there are any CCTV cameras in the area (private ones as well as police CCTV) ?

one distinct advantage though if you look at it on the flip side!... when they repair it they'll have to paint a lot of the car so why not have your pink paint job done at the same time as it'll save you some money! BONUS!

holy crap - as above, glad you are A-OK as cars can be replaced but people can't.

What a c*nt, they better hope I don't spot a car with a dent in and blue paint on it or their car won't be the only thing with a dent in :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: People are complete scum these days, no one gives a flying f*ck about anyone else or their possesions, I bet they were more worried about loosing £30 no claims bonus than if they had just injured another human being. This country needs a wake up call, it's far too soft and lazy so the scum can get away with things like this. I could rant on for hours about this but i'll spare you for now!!

What a nightmare, couldn't believe it when Faz told Pat last night. As the others have said Florry can be sorted but its you to worry about. How is your neck and back this morning. Maybe you should get your gp to check you out for whiplash etc. I'm sure between the insurance Faz and Pat they'll get your baby back on the road asap and looking spankingly gorgeous. Thank you everyone for your kind wishes. My neck and back are a bit sore today but my chest hurts more it is properly where the seat belt dug in me.
I went back to the police station today to give them my driving lisence and i asked what would happen now, they said because there was no witness and i didnt get a registration number there is nothing that can be done the case will just be closed!! There is no cctv in Welbeck road so they will get away with it like all the stupid drivers do, if a person had been crossing they would most proberly have been killed :mad:
Well on the good side Faz and Pat looked over the car today and the car isnt twisted in anyway, so im hoping that the insurance company will pay out for my repairs and not right it of, i dont want to lose my car over somebody else's driving!

These pictures were taken in the dark so really cant see much, the damage goes the whole length of the car also the wing, door and a.panel. Im hoping they dont right it off, Im sure she is salvagable.
It looks really pathetic next to Roos problems but then roo always did out shine us all!!!:p :p :p

Anyway, your's will soon shine. As soon as the insurance OK has come through Pat and Faz will make her better than ever i'm sure. Also at least you can still drive her - mines looking very sad and dejected outside my house now.

Hard to tell from the pics Sam but looks like a new door and one panel to get it sound and then Faz can paint it pink and sparkly !

A little bit more than it looks Colm. The parts needed are:

Door, near side front wing, A panel, stripe transfers and plastic wheel arch.
Money wise it may be quite near the "write off" mark. However even if they decide to pay out instead of do the work Pat and Faz can still do the work to at least make her pretty again.

dont know what Florry is worth but if the repairs would cost more than 60% might be worth keeping the noclaims and the no claims discount and getting Faz/Pat (are they the A "panel" Team ? lol ) to do the door and A panel

how about the car hit you forced you off the road into a body shop where they were spraying a VW beetle pink and you crashed out the ohter side with a new pink paint job.. and somehow some new chrome bits also.... :p

No still not heard nothing, they did as Colm said had a figure of £585 but im not sure weather that was with me keeping the car or them taking it. I am not letting them take my car and only give me £585 for it! I would like to see them buy a mini with 6 months tax and mot for that amount.

Well i can no longer drive my car as of today. She has been written off by the insurance company for the grand sum of.....£435!
So she is of the road untill she has a new MOT, then the insurance company will re-insure her.
So i am now car less, but at least they havent taken her away so she is still mine!! yiiiiiiippppppppeeeeeeee!

Now to my darling husband,
all i want for christmas is a nice new MOT!

If it has been declared a right off, then you won't be able to sell/re-tax it until you get a V.I.C check done. You have to book it quite far in advance too.

Why did you get such a low amount? We got twice that with Burk, and that wasn't even haggling with them :confused:

I'm sure it won't take Faz long to re-mot your car, but as for the vehicle check, do you still have to have it done, or just an MOT. Tunbridge Wells I think is the nearest place.

It is a bit disheartening really as there is a bit to do for the MOT, cost wise as well but i knew that anyway. Plus fix the damage to the door wing and A panel and give it a new pink coat. But i will get it ll done just will take a bit longer than normal.

I think the reason we only got that is there is no third party to claim of so they are being misers. I could argue with them till i am blue in the face and still have the same result. I would also have to wait until settled to fix the car so i am just accepting and taking it as a loss again:D . Anyway onwards and upwards you know that is what i say i don't let nothing defeat me.

Well her new door is already stripped and primered will order the wing and A-panel after christmas. Just about to go out and get it on the garden ready for stripping if the red one starts that is :p . So i am making a start you know :D .
