What are you after out of an exhaust - maximum noise, maximum performance, cheap, side exit, centre exit, big, small? Do you have a CAT? What exhaust system do you have at the moment?

Tommy Cooper

to do that you will need a manifold back kit really, something like THIS (http://minispares.com/Product.aspx?pid=38504) along with THIS (http://www.minisport.com/classic-mini-shop/products/carburettor-injection-air/inlet-manifolds/inlet-manifold-alloy-water-heated-product.html). What I have listed is pretty much a 'stage one' tuning kit, all it needs is an air filter of your choice - K&N cone for 'bling' or just a K&N higher flowing filter element to go in the standard air-box.

I forgot - after fitting the above you WILL need a rolling road session or your car will run like a bag of spanners so budget £100-ish for that too

Tommy Cooper

unless youve got a stage 1 kit already that is :D

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mini

Rover Special Products mini (rusted even more so than normal) I think it was only built in 1990 and then in 1991 Rover relaunched the Cooper

The body is the same as any mid 90's Rover mini, as Colm says it was the first of the Rover Coopers

I thought as RSP was not a Cooper but was a Rover mini from 1990 then in 1991 they relauched the cooper ?

Pat knows Bodycare in Southwick. Its on the Lady B Industrial Estate. They asked Pat to work for them when he got made redundant from Protran about 4-5 years ago. The boss is Bruce, a nice bloke. Pat however decided not to stay after a week as he decided to go self employed and set up his own business in his old workshop.

The Mini Cooper RSP was introduced in 1990 to reintroduce the Mini Cooper. John Cooper had been selling Cooper conversions in 998cc form. Then Graham Day, the Rover boss, asked John Cooper to see if they could come up with something together. The result was that the Mini was sent to Rover Special Products and they decided to put the MG Metro 1275cc engine in with the Mini 30 type interior and a few special other bits, this is now known as the Mini Cooper RSP or sometimes LE (for limited edition). 1650 RSP Coopers were built, 600 going to other countries like Japan, Germany and South Africa, while the remaining 1050 stayed in Britain.

are you changing the lcb as well or just the mid an rear section? Can you let me know who you get to do it and what they charge please

yes you guessed Im after fitting a new exhaust as I have to replace the lcb and y piece so may as well get a stainless steel system

I sometimes ground mine on a ramp going into work is there a guard or something that can be fitted (like you can get a sump guard) to protect the exhaust section in the middle of the underside of the car ???
