Anyway, I'll stop talking so much bullplop now ^_^

Thank you all ^_^

lol 2 mins 27 secs does not count as living! :p

I forgot to say that I go to uni up in London, hence the only part time living down here, but then it does make it seem like the L2B run was designed around me! hehe

Howdy Stealth GT btw, it was you who gave me the link to here! Thank you muchly!

Thanks everyone for such a warm welcome! ^_^ (it's Hanna though, just so we dont clash :p

Currently my dad thinks I dont need a car at all :( so I'm trying to guilt trip him in to letting me get one ;)

hmm what type of mini, almost any one would do me cept im not a huge fan of the binis, i'd love to get a classic one that's in pretty good nick, needs a little bit of work and then do it myself, though I havent a clue how to do repair work on cars!

The Hanna bit wasn't just aimed at you!

I know! I've loved cars for absolutely ages and driving as soon as I started, so much that my friends tend to hit me when I start talking about cars :( and I adore minis, it'd be like heaven owning one! ^_^

umm well l2b, drag wars, SMD, maybe MITP and hopefully the Brandshatch to Nurburgring run that theminiforum are organising. If I dont have a car, I'll try hitching a lift with people I know or even resorting to getting the train!

MINI ME
16-01-2007, 11:31 PM

Hannioli
17-01-2007, 08:07 PM
hmm...well I'm just gonna keep calling you Tommy :p

as for working on my dad to let me have a car, I've found out my mum wants a car again! ^_^ So I've formulated a cunning plan, mum gets the car and uses it when I'm at uni and I get it the rest of the time! I've just spent the past hour telling her she should get a mini! :D

Tommy Cooper
17-01-2007, 08:19 PM
ok Hannah :p

If your mum test drives a mini will it be:

a thrill (its a big fast go kart :D )
a spill (its horrible to drive, no power steering etc etc)
or a kill (too many jolts = bad back = painKILLers)

Hannioli
17-01-2007, 08:38 PM
picking on the newbie, how rude! :p

if it's up to me, i'll be the one doing the test driving! ^_^
my mum's never driven a car with power steering so it's all cool on that front and the two cars i've properly driven ('92 kia pride lx and mk1 '92 micra) didnt have power steering either :D Dont think my mum will like the thrill bit hehe

Tommy Cooper

Thanks B20 and Mini minx :)

lol mini me, i've already told my mum she could get on the mini scene and she'd then be awesome (not that she isnt already)! made me chuckle a fair bit hehehe but most likely my mum would use the car once a week and i'd use it ALL the time when Im at home :D still working on it! Trying the Bart and Lisa approach "dad, can i have a car? No. Dad, can i have a car? No. Dad, can i have a car? No. Dad, can i have a car? No. Dad, can i have a car? No. Dad, can i have a car? No." Still on no at the mo :(

LOL good luck with the tactics Hanna.
If you have trouble please let me know, I am a master of tactics, and I know how to work with people and it's all about seeing how the person is thinking/feeling and making yourself and the thing appealing to their way of thinking at the time.

Mine is the one on my sig strip...just in case you're interested at all?

ooooh have you got any more pics and an idea of a price?

:D Im spending my time wisely instead of sleeping, looking at minis! :D

seen one in polegate on ebay, doesnt look too bad :D polegate mini (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=014&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=330094801474&rd=1&rd=1)

also seen this one in maidstone, what do people think? Maidstone mini (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140092734933&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=004) if I got that and had all those spare bits, would it be hard to fit them if I wanted to? This mini had been listed on ebay before, but had no mot and other stuff with it, looks like they've done it up a bit and the price is quite low!

and then another one horsham mini (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=015&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=250089874673&rd=1&rd=1) i was wondering with this one, what do they mean by "no MOT due to normal mini problems"...surely that's not a normal thing to say in an ad to try and sell your car?? also the lack of info makes me dubious...though i do like the mini...

need to chat to my dad about my findings :D

want a mini soooooo badly!!! :D :D :D

Hannioli
05-03-2007, 02:18 AM
YES WELL DONE!!! knew it would work! april is not long away!! thank god all those EASTER EGGS. cant wait

april is aaaaages away :p im too impatient, i want a car now damn it!! Came home this weekend from uni and it's been so annoying! Having to get lifts from parents and friends  that and I keep spotting minis where ever i go and classic beetles too! I've decided I want one of them too...but mini first :D

dont like easter eggs much :p much prefer cars any day of the week! :D I want to go driving!!!

hmm...you wouldnt be able to fit anyone into the boot of a mini would you?

Jam_meister
05-03-2007, 04:58 PM
yeah someone could fit into the boot of a mini, they might have to be either a dwarf, a midget, or a contautionist (I don't think that's the correct spelling) though...oh or a kid

MINI ME
05-03-2007, 05:57 PM
my boot if full of rubbish!!! note 2 self must clean mini  . are you coming 2 our next mini meet on the 13th?

Josie & Gary
05-03-2007, 08:43 PM
Out of the three of them i would probably go and look at the first(polgate) mini. It'll be nice and cheap on the insurance as its a 998cc and seems like a nice honest description. But i would recomened you get someone to check the car over if you are thinking of buying.(I say this for any car you would buy, even from a dealer)

I have seen Queeny's car in the flesh and it is a lovely little car, plus you would be keeping it in the club :) You could always get the "B" Team to do a shorty conversion on it

Have you seen this mini?

Isle of White Mini (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=006&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=160091053265&rd=1&rd=1)

I am watching this as it seems like a nice car too, my parents were intrested in it also. Plus the Isle of White is a nice place to visit :D

yeah, the polegate one has the most interest from me! Thing is bidding ends on saturday I think it is and I'm back in London again after that weekend back on our wonderful south coast :( SO i can't check it out and my dad wont :( so I think someone else is gonna snap it up :(

was thinking with the maidstone one that I could sell off the spare parts that I wont use and make a bit of cash back... gotta see...

oooh that IOW mini is such a gorgeous colour! Looks in great condition too and only £510 at the mo! Wow...if i could travel that far i'd be interested too

my boot if full of rubbish!!! note 2 self must clean mini  . are you coming 2 our next mini meet on the 13th?

'fraid not, i dont break up for easter til the 23rd and wont be back down south til the 26th! As soon as I get me a mini and I'm down south, I'll be a-coming to a meet :D

oh and the boot question was because I had to ride home from eastbourne in the boot of my friends punto, really roomy, could have fit a couple of people in there ;)
