Hi, I've had Mary for nearly a year now. She's a 1988 Mary Quant Designer mini in white diamond (and rust and gaffer tape!) I just couldn't resist her even though my mechanic friend said "Nooooo don't do it!". Basically she needs some work which is where you lot come in! could anyone recommend a really good garage that will be able assist in the restoration of my lovely car.
Mary enjoys fast ride along the bypass and gentle drives over speed bumps!
Cheers!

Hiya and welcome:) Would love to see some pictures of your baby? We meet up on every second tuesday of the month, so you should come along and show Mary off.
There are several members on here that are 'experts' and i'm sure there make themselves known soon :D

Really want to restore her to her former glory! She desrves more than a bit of tape to cover her rust! She is well loved but obviously these things take time, money and a good mechanic!
But yeah, absolutely love driving her about, my son and nephew love being dren around as well. One of my friend (who lives up north) whenever shes in Brighton I have to spent most of the day bombing around town and motorway with her, honestly shes like a child in that respect!::p

Hi and welcome to Brighton Mini Club forum. As Josie and Gary have said - come along to a meet and you may even want to join the club, its full of mini mad owners with rusty loved up cars! (mine included). The mini gurus will no doubt be able to give you all the advice you need.

Welcome to BMC, myself or Faz (Tangoman) are able to do welding, Pat it s**t hot at bodywork and paint, many others for mechanical. Will you be bringing Mary to next meeting? (Tue 13th at the Swan, Falmer)

I'm good at stripping out and re-fitting of parts etc and don't mind doing the fiddly bits with the nuts and screws in akward places, and Darren Divall and Tommy Cooper can confirm that, lol.
I can also do filing down/sanding down but I am a bit out of practice at that, I was quite good before now.
And Colm (Tommy Cooper) is Good at these sort of things aswell as wiring ad other things too.
We sometimes work as a two man mini team myself and Colm.
Yes there will be plenty of people that can help you out with your restoration, You might not even need to go to a garage for anything :)
Oh and last buy by no means least - WELCOME TO THE BMC SITE!! :D :) :D

come along to a meet.. next one is a week on Tuesday at the Swan @ Falmer village
Dont let me and Jam loose on your car unless you want us to make short work of it... we can do some things well but Faz and Pat are a better team ;)

OI Colm!!! that's what I call and anti-advert for our work! yeah that Faz and Pat team are more experienced of things including Pat's bodywork and paint work skills, but I am sure Faz gets peed off with those fiddly little nuts and screws which I don't, I remember him saying to me before how much of a nightmare he finds them, heheeee.
Anyway we can do certain things fast when we get started so that's an advantage, and it's speed, not haste.
We're like two pitballs, once we're latched on to sonething, we keep on at it, lol
Maybe we could have Me, and you colm, Teaming up with Faz and Pat - that woudl be an all out winner I feel, and it would be great to work with Faz and Pat and see skills liek that at work :)

Hi and welcome to the forum.
As a few people have said, you have got a rare special edition there and it sounds like you are going to give it the love it needs.
Hope to meet you soon.
