I think you might be talking about C.B ariels right??
If you are there's a few places you can get them - Try Maplins on London Road, if they don't have any (they used to) then ask the dudes in there where you can get one. I'm sure actually one of the peeps on here will tell you exactly where to go.
If you're near woddingdean than you're near to Pat and Michelle.

by the way - Interesting Vent on your bonnet, and interesting colour mini too

Hi again, yeah we live in woodingdean, up near the top end of falmer road. Haven't seen your car about, but looking forward to waving when we do. As James's has said - our CB aerials came from Maplins in Brighton.

not alot to do just to new front tyres but this is may not be just 2 new tyres because i've got a problem where the car when turning is rubbing on the tyres(damaged them) and has dented the wing a little, im not sure whether it is just the arches not being cut out enough or there is a bigger problem with the suspension any ideas would be welcome thanks

STEALTH GT
20-02-2007, 08:48 PM
YOU CAN CHECK IF ITS THE TYRES RUBBING BY DRIVING THE FRONT WHEELS ON TO TWO NEWSPAPERS (THIS JUST HELPS THEM TO TURN MORE FREELY) THEN GET SOMEONE TO TURN THE WHEELS FULL LOCK ONE WAY THEN THE OTHER AND SEE HOW MUCH CLEARANCE YOU GET.
IF THE TYRES ARE RUBBING ON THE SHOCKS THEN THERE WILL BE BLACK SCRUBBING MARKS ON THEM THAT YOU CAN SEE WHEN THE WHEELS ARE OFF BUT IM SURE ITS NOT THAT.WHERE EVER THE TYRES ARE RUBBING YOU SHOULD SEE MARKS LEFT FROM THE TYRES.
DID YOU BUY THE CAR ALREADY CONVERTED ?

Tommy Cooper
20-02-2007, 08:49 PM
this sounds like my car....

I too am not sure if its my deepdish 5 inch tyres or the suspension cones or a bit of both... im going to get hi-los and kayaba shocks fitted and this should sort it otherwise the front end might need a small bit cut out.

There are people in the club who can do such work for you... Tangoman and Minus Man (kitkat and cigar... sorry thats a private joke)

marmite
20-02-2007, 09:26 PM
cheers for that ill give the newspaper thing a go tomorrow night and see where it is rubbing. if so will be in contact with one of the guys you mentioned. the conversion was done by mlmotorsports by the previous owner so there is a few things that i want to change about the car and also tidy up.
