Right the idea is to make my mini as quiet as i can as said in the other thread. The reason is because of the stereo i am fitting most of you know this anyway. Anyway what would you guys do in regards to making it quiet and what makes of soundproofing would you use?

if u have removed the soundproofing behind the carb on the bulkhead this makes a huge difference, i replced mine (after much swearing) in a few hours and it actually works. apparently dynamat is good stuff for stopping rattles and that but i havent put any in before

Yeah Dynamat is great for panel vibration but for blocking out sound it isn't as good. Dynamat do do a soundproofer called Dynaliner but it is £40 and this would only cover the front floor so would need lots. Not sure what else is out there i have had a look on the net but come up with not much.
