View Full Version : Hello! Looking for advice!
Hi
I live over in Worthing and last year got my 1972 Mini back on the road. I'm going to Denmark for the IMM in a couple of weeks and just realised that my MoT expires before I get back. My usual guy is on holiday so I'm looking for a recommended garage in the area - Worthing, Brighton, wherever really. From past experience, I try to stay away from garages who aren't used to MoTing old Minis!
Any advice would be fab.
Thanks

Hi - thanks for the advice.
I had a quick look through the forum and found a post about Hatches Garage in Littlehampton - the post was from Jan 06... just wondered if you knew of anyone who had used them recently? I only ask as Littlehampton is a bit closer than Burgess Hill, although I'll happily travel if it means a Mini friendly MoT!!

I think Hatches garage has closed down. We use a guy in Kemp Town in Brighton. If you want it checked over first etc etc then Phatz Classics in Brighton (my hubby and Auntie Mini's hubby) can check it out for you, take it for its MOT and then do any work that's needed. The guy they use is independent and only does MOTs- so gets nothing out of passing or failing it. Which personally I prefer as you know they're not just trying to get work out of you. As Phatz specialise in classic minis they know their stuff as well. Have a look under services and suppliers for their details. Good luck.

I use the garage in porstlade who only do MOT's mr mot or mot's are us  it is north of shoreham harbour set back one road from the a259. between Trafalgar Road and Boundary Road.
They have always been very fair with me.
If it was south of shoreham harbour it would be in the sea
