Hello! My name is Kate and I'm in the middle of moving to Worthing, and I'm guessing you guys are the closest Mini club to me.
I drive a 1993 Flame Red Italian Job, and she is my 2nd Mini. I'm addicted to be honest...hehe :P
Anyway just thought I would drop in a say hi!
Kate xx

Hi Kate, welcome to the Brighton Mini Club forum. As for local clubs - you are more than welcome to join us, we meet 2nd Tuesday of each month at The Swan Inn in Falmer (map on here somewhere) - so that's Tuesday next week. The other main local club is West Sussex Mini Owners Club - who I think hold their club nights in Shoreham. They are hosting a big show on 2nd September at Steyne Gardens in Worthing. You should pop along and say hi if you're around. Welcome to the mad house!

i think paid up members (people that have paid there £12 or £1 per month remaining of the year when they join) number around 50 and at the Tuesday meet there are normally 15 to 30 members (some are joint members with one mini between them)
where abouts in Worthing are you moving to? Im about to exchange contracts (hopefully today) on a new house and move to East Worthing / Broadwater in about two weeks time.. Gary and Josie are over that way but in West Worthing I think ?

Good luck with the move Kate, as Colm has said - actual Brighton Mini Club members number around 50, with regulars at meetings around 30, depending on time of year, weather, cars being off road etc. Forum members are loads more, bur regulars again is more like about 50 of us.

Well I get my car back today and hopefully the colour difference won't be too bad...(yeah right!) Why does red have to fade so much! Infact why did I have to crash it in the first place....:(
Oh well...if you see a two tone Min driving about then you will know its me! lol

We are having our Sunday cruise meet this Sunday - see events and meets column, or there's minis by the sea in Worthing on Sunday 2nd September where we will have a stand. Then its the 2nd Tuesday in September (11th I think) at The Swan Inn at Falmer.
See you soon, glad your little car is better.

20-08-2007, 09:20 AM
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaayy Glad you have Ruby back and liking lovely again, luckily you have an easy colour to match up on her.
You should be as excited as you are about getting her back but as for that much excitement over moving to Worthing I'm not so sure.......lol, nah Worthing's Ok.....Just watch out for some dodgy bloke driving an orangey cooper with 91 circle stickers on the doors ;)
Tommy Cooper
20-08-2007, 12:35 PM
dodgy - thanks thats the nicest thing anyones said about me in weeks
orangey cooper though ? Its a red wine base coat with a rage flip that turns gold and then green in the sunlight :p
Jam_meister
20-08-2007, 12:40 PM

oooh I love flip paint. Must be a bugger to match though if it gets damaged/scratched?
Jam_meister
21-08-2007, 08:43 AM
Yep it's the hardest type of paint job to match up if the car gets pranged etc

05-09-2007, 04:17 PM
ok cool, hope the move went well. I can't be colms one unless it has big black 91 in a white circle stuck on both doors, lol
I take it you like manga and Anime then, cool, before that it was transformers which I have always loved being as I'm an 80's child.
Our next Tuesday meet is next week so why not come along to The Swan Inn in Falmer and say hello to us, you'll be most welcome, it starts from 7:30 ish
