tyre valve

Noticed my rear tyre was a little flat today but went to put some air in it and the valve cap wouldnt come off - if I turn it with some force then the rubber bit behind it - the tyre valve- starts to turn round! I cant remember putting it on really tight so its either rusted on or its been tampered with! :mad:

I dont want to try gripping the rubber behind the valve so I guess I will have to go to ATS or somewhere thats open on a sunday

well ATS were useless - wouldnt do it as they were closing in 30 minutes! Kwik fit in Portslade did in for £8.50 including rebalancing - the guy was very intested in what engine it had and why i hadnt bought a BMW mini - I should have let him take it round the block...

Should of told him it's because you want a real mini with all the character they have not a variant of one that is just another modern car and isn't 'mini' at all!

I can only understand ATS turning you away if they had cars in that had jobs taking up 30 minutes seeing as getting the tyre valve off for them would of prob taken 10 mins max
