'starting to' - you mean starting to go REALLY rusty so that you can see it as opposed to quietly rusting in hard to see but costly places ? LOL

I can recommend some rust treatment for light rust but most rust requires surgical removal !

Hi Nick and welcome to the BMC forum. I know a guy who can advise on your rust problem. I think the scuttles on the later models are a very common with rust problems. I'd recommend taking it to a specialist - perhaps Phatz Classics, Pat and Faz can advise.

yes I think the late 1990s mini skuttles were made from recycled rusty wheelbarrows imported from Russia and specially treated with salt
