Hi All

I have got hold of a complete floor pan (from sc parts crawley)for my Mk3 as the one in her is a little rusty and has alot of repair work, my question is has anyone ever replaced a complete floor before and what is the best way to go about it. My idea is to brace the body with steel before I cut the old pan out then install the new one, my only concern is as the floor pan is a major part of the body I don't want it to twist or move. Any idea's please..

I would brace between the 'A' posts, across the door gaps and then cross brace 'A' posts to rear seat base
That should hold it square when you cut the floor out

Another question if you can help.
She is on her side at the moment is this the best way to cut and weld the floor or would it be better the right way up.
Cheers

Probably best right way up, or upside down!
