Just thought I better introduce myself, i simon and live in Lancing. I have just bought my first mini its a 93 mini Rio which im in the process of doing up (once I finish fixing all the oil leaks:mad:)
Like I said this is my first mini after running a string of mx5's but I thought it was time for a change and make a great alternative to my bike.

Welcome to the forum and make sure you dont cure all the oil leaks, they are the only thing that stops the underside from rusting :LOL:

I nearly bought an MX5 once, I love the Lotus Elan styling of the MK1 - you can never loose with pop-up headlamps!

Right time to answer the questions.
Mayfair mess I have a 99 suzuki sv650 but i've only had a full licenese since febuary.
RNRMF I had 2 mk1 and a supercharged mk2.5 running around 180bhp.
Whitey no pics yet mate im waiting until I have everything fitted and its polished up. Its looking a bit shabby at the moment as its not really been used for 18 months and theres quite a few dents and scratches to sort out but they'll be coming soon

Thanks although I wont be coming to this meet as the cars off the road until a new oil filter housing arrives (I stripped the threads out of the old one, oops), although I will be joining the club soon

sorry i've been so rude, welcome all to the forums. I kinda lurk about behind the site and generally annoy people by making unanounced changes :). Some call me the stig, because no-ones ever seen me lol, i really must get to a meet sometime!
