Hi.

I have a 1995 1275 SPI with an RC40 exhaust on it.

It looks like I still have original manifold on there and its only the backbox and cat that have been replaced.

What manifold is the best freeflowing one for the above and what parts do i need to get?

I want maximum performance and to remove the cat as well.
There is so many on the market i'm kind of lost :)

i personally think lcb (long centre branch) are best as i was once told that a-series engines prefer a bit of backpressure? its just my opinion anyways

there is a book called "tuning the a series engine" it may help

As far as I know....You dont need to change the manifold if changing to an LCB. Im not aware that you can get manifolds that are particularly better or different to others .... its just that you need different manifolds for some carbs but yours is spi

The LCB gives better air flow but go for a decent one eg maniflow

I suspect that you must have a CAT to go through the MOT emissions test with a 95 spi but you could remove it and just put it back in for the MOT if you want.... others that have owned spi / mpi minis will know the regulations there
