hazard lights

hello,

my hazard lights have stopped working?? any idea's of what this could be.

i have checked the fuse box and they are all fine.

also the indicators work fine??

could be connection onto the flasher switch?

what is the flasher thing anyway?? where is it??

the flasher unit is under the steering column near the ignition usually or on older minis it might be by the bulkhead near the wiper motor I "vaguely" think... I cant remember off hand whether the flasher unit for the hazards is seperate to the indicator relay ... hmm ?

it could also be the inline fuse behind the air filter or just be your switch

THERE IS USUALLY TWO FLASHER UNITS, ONE FOR HAZARDS AND ONE FOR INDICATING . THE ONE ON THE BULK HEAD NEAR THE WINDOW WIPER MOTOR IS THE HAZARD ONE.
AS SAID THE SWITCH CAN BE A PROBLEM TOO.

don't you just love minis!!

i took mine to my mate garage and we tuned the engine gave it a full service sorted the tracking put new wheels on checked everything and it was near perfect!!

i went on holiday come back and the lights, hazards and horn just stopped working!?! :confused:

brilliant.. mine have decided to stop working now, i didnt realise there was another flasher unit. hmmmmm

this new tech talk section is quite good. where would i put somthing about those seat extenders tho? bodywork section? do we have an interior section?

Sam there is not a section for everything so if it doesnt fit then post it not in any section (amongst the general stuff)

Are the seat extenders just like these ones that fit onto the existing bracket and then the seat bolts onto them?
