Howdy.

I want to scrub the flakey crud off the underneath bits and give them a protective coat of paint, mainly in the wheelarches. Does anyone have experience of the different paints available for this? Does more expensive/fancy stuff like POR-15 offer better protection over a big can of hammerite/chassis black or is it mostly sales mumbo-jumbo?

I guess so Colm, any of that sort of stuff really. What I am looking at is in the wheelarch there's a little bit of crust coming through so I wanted to wire-wheel it back to clean metal and then protect it with paint/POR-15/chassis black/stonechip/whatever and wondered if anyone had any experiance with any of the available products.
