No power at all !!!

Hey all.

Got alice all running etc only to encounter a problem:( (obviously)

Went to start her on sat, turned key to the first turn, stereo and clock came on, changed the cd. when to start her she turned over and then cut out.
No power what so ever. Everything cut out.

Been playing around with wires and now the stereo and clock come on with the first turn of the key, but if i try to start her, nothing! even the stereo and clock go out.
Checked the battery and its fine, i even changed it to another batt and its nothing to do with that.

I know its not alot of info but if anyone has any clues or ideas be great!

where abouts is your mini - somone might be local and might be able to look at it ?

its a 1988 mayfair.... Live in Polegate in eastbourne. I really need some help with this i have a bloomin clue on what to do with her. Had another look and there is no luck what so ever!
Seriously need help getting desperate!
