Rough running in the wet

When it rains my trusty 998 runs a little rough its got new points cap condensor and plugs. Ihave a rubber glove over the dizzy with the leads coming out of the fingers and tapped up the glove is a tight fit over the dizzy base.

Anyone got any ideas

hello .if it runs rough when its wet it will be the ht leads arcing out on somethingmake sure the ht leads are routed away from metel objects.Has it got the sheld in front of the distributer this will help alot.sometimes the glove will not help as it will condensate in the glove.There is a spray that can help it seals the leads:) hope this helps

thanks Carl i have order the plastic shield i will try halfords for the spray i forgot about that its the one that coats everything in a plastic film

before you spray it on make sure all leads are clean:)

hi ya i had same problem in the wet i changed my ht leads to performace once they where change to split fire lead and since then never had a problem

I will talk to phaz and see how much or a freind off mine is has his own paint shop but i dont like to ask because he is allways busy
