hello everyone, just wondered if you can help me. i have had some repair work done at a garage and it has turned out to be a disaster. Anyways one of the problems i have is i have notice the floor where the subframe is bolted is bent inwards alittle on the passengers side compared to straight on the drivers side. is there anyway the floor can be straightened out without smacking it with a hammer like the garage has a tempted to do? thanks

The only thing i can think of is hit it with a hammer, replace the floor plan in the passenger side or just put up with it. Is it causing grief? does it look uneven on the floor (ie through the carpet)

I did listen, faron said i should get a AA inspection done so i looked into that a found it would cost £180 which i could not afford and there is no way i can get it to farons garage so i was stuck. i decided to put it in a mot to see if i could get proof of what was wrong which worked because they where shocked to find how unsafe it was so i phoned the man that did my car and went mental at him so now he is going to sort it out. the next day i pulled the carpet up and noticed how bent the floor was so i thought i would come on here and see if anyone knew how to correct it so i could tell the man what he has to do. Anyway he has now said he cant do it so now he is going to pay someone that worked for john cooper garages to fix it. you didnt waste anytime because i wouldnt have got to now getting it sorted if you hadnt come over .

glad to hear that someone who has experience in mini work is going to be fixing it. As long as the subframe isn't bent, you maybe able to get away with beating the floor back into shape, but for the cost of a new passenger side floor and the time welding it, it maybe cheaper to do that? geez u poms love to fight lol let us know how u go with it matey :)
