Well... after lots of time cruising around university open days I've decided to go to Sussex Uni. So, come september I'll be trotting back down south from Manchester (origonally from Southampton), and settling down for four or so years in Brighton.
That's assuming I get the grades I need...
Anyhoo, I'm currently a memeber of manchester minis (only been a member for a couple of months), and quite liked it so thought I'd have to join a club down south. So had a quick look on the web and this one seems the closest so I thought I'd just say an early hello.
I'll be driving down south and generaly all over the country after my exams so I might try and get to a meet in either July or August and say hello. If not I'll be there from September onwards. (I'll probably stumble about this forum as well until then).
So I'll see you all soon!
Chris.
P.S. Are there any close mini suppliers or anything? I'm used to have MOSS Manchester 10 minutes away selling almost everything and in stock...

Hi and welcome to the messageboard :D
Good luck with the grades and heres hoping we will see you and your mini soon!
For general maintenance parts there is a fair selection of motorfactors around but more specialist stuff will have to be mail ordered i'm afraid.

Hello Darren!
Yeah, I thought that might be the case. I think I forget how handy it is some times. But it's not that big a problem.
Thought I'd put up a picture of the mini.
Since the photo it's had new a pannels and sills floor wings front panel, the usual stuff. I've also replaced the engine/gearbox fitted a new clutch and changed the engine head. Spotlights and other minor things like respraying the bonnet as well.

PS, it's an '82 city, 998, with stage one kit, resprayed in metalic tahiti with white roof.

It's grim up north....
I don't know what the temprature difference is, but lower tempratures make it hard work. Silly things like, my not very good soldering iron won't work because the air is so cold. And painting the door steps and a panels was.... interesting in just above 0 conditions.
