Pretty torrential rain all last night got out to the car to go to work to find a nice wet patch on the drivers side carpet right where my left heel rests while driving .
I'm pretty sure it's not the heater matrix as the car has been dry as a bone right up to the rain last night and the heater hasn't been used for weeks , so it's getting in somewhere but where is a puzzle ? it's not the roof and under the dash etc is all dry , it seems to be coming through the bulkhead somewhere .
opening the bonnet the drivers side soundproofing (i presume thats what it is) is damp but not on the passenger side .
The car was dry when i parked up looking from outside i can't see anywhere where water could get in unless it's creeping past where the washer jets/windscreen wipers sit or past the windscreen seal , or even through the gap where the bonnet hinges . :confused:
