I have a white MINI mayfair, 998, 76k, 1992.
It's had a pre MOT and is a failure due to corrosion.

It has some new parts including:

boot lid, starter motor, carpets, window runners + rubbers, exhaust (couple of months old), heavy duty battery (with warantee).

I want to sell the car for spairs or repairs although I am no expert on restoration so not sure if the repair route is feasible.

If anyone is interested I am happy to answer any questions
or for you to come see the car.
I am open to offers.

Hi Dave, do you have any more information as to what needs doing to make it safe? Where is the corrosion and did it fail the pre-MOT on anything else? What is the rest of the car like - body, brakes, engine?

Darren,

It has serious corrosion at the roof gutter on the offside above the seatbelt pillar. Also near the rear wheelarches. + There are various rusty spots.

I don't have a complete list of whats needed as the garage didn't want to do the work and didn't charge me.

As I said I am no expert so you would need to have a good look at the car yourself to decide if restoration is achievable.

The car runs well I use it every day, the brakes are good. It's losing a bit of water at the moment though.

Everything works in the car - the interior is the original grey velour which good but not perfect. It has new red carpets.

If you would like to know anything else or want to view the car I will give you my number in a PM. Let me know.

Ian . . .

I'm after £350 as I've spent quite a lot on new parts.
As I said I'm open to offers.

Cheers
