I have brought a newer standard engine to replace the old used one. This will go in within the next 2 weeks. However the plan is to rebuild the old unit into a highier spec unit. This was all ways the idea, but events on the cruse back to brighton at L2B have given me a reason to start this project.

After doing some considerable research two main exhaust manifolds come up as being good ones for a small bore engine. Both made by Maniflow. Which is better the LCB design or Cooper freeflow design. Both seem to have equal liking on other websites.

Also on my journeys into performance, i have hit another stumbling block. Camshafts, some people rekon the Kent 276 is rubish and should never be used but others consider it fab. Alot of people think the kent 286 is the cam to go for. Does anybody have experience of both cams.

Finally rockers. Which to go for, i have a feeling that 1.5 full rollers are the ones i will need.

Your best bet will be to copy this post and go paste it at the MLM forum ( http://mlmotorsports.ckto.co.uk/forums/index.php ). Andy and AC Dodd will answer your questions and AC is one of the best engine builders/tuners about. They will prob ask you some Q's so they can suggest the best options for what you want out of an engine.
