Can't get vented as i have cooper s discs and if you get vented you need a different caliper.

ALRIGHT THEN .
GROOVED AS YOU STILL RETAIN THE STRENGH.
I READ SOMEWHERE IF THEYRE NOT DRILLED PROPERLY THEY ARE PRONE TO CRACK.

Well had a think and i think i will go for grooved they seem and wiser choice. Think the drilled will have lost some of there strength maybe wrong but that is what i am doing so ner ner ner ner ner:D .

grooved, but more than 4 grooves is pointless, avoid drilled as yes there are reports of strength issues.

for pads, use normal uniparts if you drive normally, or greens if you can keep them warm. Avoid reds or blacks, they are mainly for tracks etc.

As I understand it the grooves provide a bit of cooling through extra surface area and clean the 'glaze' off the pads and drilled disc holes just do cooling, which you dont really need on a road car.

Well will put the discs on the car today along with new hubs which will hopefully sort my tracking problem out:( hopefully anyway. Will if i can as it's a bit messy (doing driveshafts as well grease  ) get some photo's up and do a step by step guide.

Cool, photos would be ace. Will be interesting to see what difference the disks make to the stopping power.

Yeah definately would will be using green stuff this time instead of black stuff as i didn't get on with them in this setup liked them better when i had 8.4 discs. Anyway must get out there in the bloody cold now where did i put my hot water bottle:p .

I WAS OUT AND UNDER THE CAR TODAY TOO.
IVE DISCONECTED EVERYTHING, READY TO WHEEL THE ENGINE ON THE SUBFRAME AWAY FROM THE CAR. :)
LOOSEND THE HUB NUTS, DISCONECTED THE GEAR STICK, UNDONE THE HOSES TO THE HEATER, LABELED AND DISCONECTED THE WIRING, BRAKES, CLUTCH AND FUEL LINE, SEPERATED THE STEERING RACK FROM THE HUB, TAKEN SHOCK MOUNTINGS OFF.
ALL I GOT TO DO NOW IS UNDO SUBFRAME BOLTS TOP AND REAR AND OFF IT COMES !

ANYONE WANT TO BUY A 1100 ON A FRONT SUBFRAME :)

Well they are on will write up a bit of a how to thing at some point. It won't be great for most people as i have cooper discs and most have 8.4" standard ones but you'll get the idea i suppose. Here is a little piccie anyway need to get some shiny new drive flanges now as mine aren't the best.
