Yes, it's coming up to that time of year for me again - insurance renewal time!

So, who are you with, what do you think of their service and would you recommend them?

well im with miniworld/hic, they gave me the best quote after i shopped around.
£154 fully comp with all mods declared and no extra for having a roll cage.
thats on a classic policy and second car.

but then i am old so that helps keep the price down :)

I just got my renewal in with sureterm direct £112 fully comp. My policy has agreed valuation (a definate must for any mini owner)limited mileage all mods are taken into account and with Sam on the policy and she has points. And don't forget where i live it isn't a great postcode to be unlike some of you. But everywhere is different so ring around get the two lowest qoutes and go between them saying they gave you the best deal and so on. Also just because a quote is low do noyt forget about excesses and service my insurance is £50 excess and great service. Good luck mate

I'm with HIC as well now. I think it was about £136 fully comp with agreed valuation (which cost £15.75 to get done as well). Their service so far seems impeccable with emails and written confirmation of everything. Only drawback is the bloke I have spoken to on the phone seems to have tourettes - (no swearing though), not the best conversation I don't think!

Footman and james, £538 a year, in my own name tpf&t. Seems huge caompared tot he rest of you... but I'm 17 and male so it's good, with stage one kit, alloys, disc brakes, and loads more stuff.

Great service, just rung about fitting adjustable heavy duty tie bars. I said what i had fitted, she didn't know exactly what they were, I explained part of the suspension blah blah, she understood, and said no, no increase to the premium.

It's people like, youngdriver.com or whoever they were that didn't understand what an exhaust was....

i'm with the rac, norwich union wanted to charge me £1850 or something stupid, so after much arguing and playing companies off against each other i got it dowm from that which was tpf&t to just over £600 fully comp, with 1 years no claims and declaring my 2 crashes.
so basically find 2 that will give you a reasonable quote and play them against each other, it takes a good 1-2 hours, but its amazing how much they will slice off!
