ive just been to "mr mot" in burgess hill... im not sure if ts because they are stupid, or because they arnt very good mot testers, but they didnt realise i had put filler all over the car and loads of stuff was wrong... they didnt bother doing an emissions test and let a few things go...
i dunno if there is a mr mot in brighton, but they dont do any work at the station...it is used purely for mot testing, so if something was wrong, they would fail it and you would have to get teh work done bysomeone else... the benifit of this is that they arnt going to mess you around because they wont gain anything by saying somthing needs replacing.
i recoment going to a few local ones and just ask then to have a quick 10 min look before you take the test...do this in 3 or four places and u can tell which place is most lenient and by the time they have all had a look, u will know roughly if its going to pass or fail

It's something like 1980 they brought real emmisions tests in. My 82 needs to produce less than 4.5% CO and less than 1200 ppm I think it is.
