i really like the look of the old police minis and wonder if its possible to get some decals made and the single blue light on the roof...

im guessing they are legal because they dont look anything like modern police cars?

has anyone seen a modern replica with the police set up?

The blue light and decals would have to be removeable as it would be illegal to have it permanent on top. Its to do with "no other colour" law with regards headlights and rear lights. If you leave the blue light on top you may well get stopped and maybe nicked for impersonating an police officer etc etc..... Might be worth checking it out at your local nick first.

do police officers wear blue lights then ........think u must of meant a police car ,as i had 2 remove my blue ring in my headlights , 4 that reason lol ,dont think there r many mini police cars patrolling the beat ,and 2 b honest ,not many officers either ,thats why crime is riseing, as there is no sight of a local bobby now a days

The one we saw at Castle Combe was lovely, shame my batteries had just died in my camera at the time! I think it was a magnetic or stick on badge on the doors and i'm sure the blue lights could easily be removed. Good project I think.
